Mr. Yadong Wang is a senior labour market policies specialist of the Department of Employment Policy, Job Creation and Livelihoods of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva. He is responsible for national employment policy research and advisory, including development and implementation of national employment policies at global level. At regional level, he currently is the regional focal point of national employment policies for ILO DWT and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific. Before joining the ILO in 2012, he was the director-general level official of the Department of Employment Promotion of the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in charge of designing and implementing national employment policies and leading the drafting of the China Employment Promotion Law promulgated in 2008. From March to August 1994, he worked at the UK Employment Department as a visiting scholar based in London School of Economics. Yadong Wang gets a master’s degree in economics from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
