Steven Kapsos is Head of the Data Production and Analysis Unit at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva. Over a 20+ year career at the ILO, he also served as a Senior Economist in the ILO’s Research Department, Labour Economist in the ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and Economist in the Employment Trends Unit. His research interests include econometric modelling of labour market indicators in the absence of complete data, the relationship between growth and employment, determinants of labour force participation, the emerging middle class in developing countries, and trends in working poverty.
