Expertise

Ian's social policy research interests have focused on social protection during the financial crisis and pandemic; universal child benefits, debates on graduation, child labour, universal basic income (UBI), and emergency UBI. His academic interests have focussed on post-Marxist thought and the work of André Gorz, Zygmunt Bauman and Slavoj Žižek.
