Expertise

Hannah Liepmann joined the Research Department of the International Labour Organization in 2018, where she works as an Economist in the Skills, Active Labour Market Polices and Policy Evaluation Unit. Her fields of interest are in labour economics and applied microeconomics, with a focus on studying how labour market policies and structural changes affect the integration of marginalized groups into quality employment. Hannah obtained her PhD in Economics from Humboldt-University Berlin. At Humboldt-University, she also worked as a research assistant within the Collaborative Research Center “Rationality and Competition”. In addition, Hannah has been a visiting researcher at the Institute for Research on Labour and Employment (IRLE) at UC Berkeley and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. She is an IZA Research Affiliate.
