Abstract
Article attempting an economic forecast and projection of unemployment and absolute poverty between 1974 and 2000 in developing countries, based on current growth rate trends - discusses methodology (basic needs vs food requirements poverty line, evaluation technique), and concludes that employment creation will have to grow at an annual rate of 3.9 per cent to achieve full employment in year 2000.
