Article on recent trends in collective bargaining in Italy - notes the decline in trade unionization, the weakening of trade union solidarity and the growing role of employers organizations; points to increased state intervention, as witnessed by tripartite collective agreements and labour legislation; discusses bargaining on working conditions at national level, industry level, enterprise level and in public service.
