Based on information supplied by the Gold and Uranium Division of the Anglo American Corporation, presents a scenario of the future role of foreign workers in the South African gold mining industry. The mines' changing recruitment policy suggests that these workers will be increasingly phased out of the industry in favour of a more stable domestic labour force.
