Abstract
Article presenting an ethnographyc technique (evaluation technique) for the evaluation and measurement of income generating activities and domestic activities of rural women in Asian developing countries - proposes definitions of 'labour force activities' and labour force participation; examines the findings of surveys that have used the time-allocation (time budget) research method of data collecting and were carried out in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and the Philippines.
