Abstract
This briefing note provides an overview of the legal access to social protection for migrant workers and their families in the ECOWAS Member States, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Mauritania. It is based on a review of relevant international conventions, regional instruments, and national legislation. This note serves as an initial analytical foundation for the development of regional and national Action Plans aimed at extending social protection to migrant workers, refugees and their families in the sub-region.
