The report highlights key developments, challenges and priorities for social protection in Asia and the Pacific from a life-cycle perspective and takes a closer look at issues in social protection and climate action by taking into account specific circumstances in the region. Recognizing the inextricable link between social protection and climate action, the report outlines a vision for adapting social protection systems to enhance resilience, support climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, and facilitate a just transition to a low-carbon economy.
