International Labour Organization
ILO, 1st ed.
2015

Abstract

employment unemployment youth employment youth unemployment labour policy economic recovery regional development Caribbean developed countries EU countries Pacific Africa Asia Europe Latin America Middle East
Examines turbulence in the world economy that continues to expand at rates below trends that preceded the global crisis in 2008 and is unable to close significant employment and social gaps that have emerged. Shows that bringing unemployment and underemployment back to pre-crisis levels appears as daunting as ever, with societal and economic risks. Finds that the global employment outlook will deteriorate in the coming five years.
