Based partly on a survey of 188 working street children and their families in Adana, Diyarbakir and Istanbul. Assesses the living and working conditions of these children and makes recommendations for possible interventions and programmes to reduce, and ultimately eliminate, the worst forms of child labour. Reviews the legal and institutional framework relating to child labour in Turkey, analyses the socio-demographic situation of working street children and examines attitudes to work and education.
