Abstract
Using data from the General Household survey conducted by Statistics South Africa in mid-2004 and the 2004 round of the KwaZulu-Natal Income Dynamics Study survey, examines the schooling and child labour impact of the child support grant and the state old age pension programmes in South Africa.
