Presents the results of a baseline survey carried out in the framework of the Project of combating Trafficking in Children and Women (TICW) for labour exploitation. Gives details of the findings from interviews, carried out in early 2004, of some 7000 persons in six sending areas (County of Yuanyang, Jinping, Hekou, Pu'er, Menglian and Ximeng) and two receiving areas (District of Wuhua and Panlong).
