Abstract
Describes the data-collecting methodology applied to four distinct sending communities: estate areas, conflict affected areas, rural areas, and inner city slums. Presents the findings of the main characteristics of the background of the children, the reasons why they were sent from home for work, and the factors that prevent children from engaging in domestic work.
