Conference paper prepared for an ILO Meeting, on the rights of trade union representatives (incl. Shop stewards) at the level of the enterprise - comments on national level labour legislation protecting union representatives against dismissal, systems of workers participation in decision making, etc., and includes suggestions concerning the future role of ILO.
