Abstract
This report presents the findings of a rapid assessment conducted by the ILO in partnership with national workers’ and employers’ organizations to evaluate the effects of the 2024 war on Lebanon’s private sector. Drawing on surveys with nearly 2,300 workers and over 700 enterprises, along with focus group discussions with employers' and workers' representatives, the assessment highlights the war’s devastating impact on employment, incomes, enterprise operations and recovery prospects. It offers evidence-based recommendations to support immediate relief and long-term structural reforms in line with decent work and inclusive recovery principle.
