Abstract
This document presents the main findings and analysis regarding the transition of women on childcare leave back into the labour market in Moldova. It outlines the current framework of maternity, paternity, and parental leave policies, as well as the broader context of childcare, social protection, gender equality, and employment policies in the country. The analysis highlights the complexity of existing policies and identifies multiple combinations that may effectively support the reintegration of mothers with young children into the workforce—one of the key priorities of Moldova’s recent employment policy efforts.
