Abstract
Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work in the BRICS presents a synthesis of national experiences from Brazil, China and South Africa on strengthening the links between productivity growth and decent work. Using the ILO’s Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work approach, the report shows that productivity and decent work are mutually reinforcing when supported by coherent policies, strong labour institutions, skills development and social dialogue. The analysis highlights diverse national pathways and shared lessons, including the importance of institutional coordination and integrating digital and green transitions. By documenting good practices, the report contributes to the BRICS Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work Knowledge Platform and supports South–South cooperation towards inclusive and sustainable growth.
