Abstract
Each polytechnic was tasked with the development of a new D4 study programme in a subject relating to the maritime or blue economy in their province; and to deliver a detailed transformational workplan with objectives to improve the equity, quality, and relevance of the teaching, learning and leadership of their institution. For each polytechnic, the programme supported the establishment of a carefully selected international academic partner to help build capacity and guide the curriculum design and delivery toward international standards. Each was supported to develop Industry Advisory Boards, strengthening the collective voice of industry sectors in link and match activities. And each was supported to undertake a capacity building study tour to their UK partner institutions to deepen the institutional knowledge exchange and collaboration.
