Abstract
Presents an update of major trends in employment and social conditions in the ASEAN region since the begining of the recent global economic and job crisis. It reviews national policy responses and identifying lessons learned for the post-crisis era. It provides background analysis and policy recommendations to the discussion on human resources for economic recovery and development at the 2nd ASEAN Human Resource Conference, held in Viet Nam in May 2010.
