Abstract
Reviews the employment implications of the AFTA and other trade liberalization moves in the period 1991-2003. Focuses on the effects of multilateral and regional arrangements on real earnings, labour migration, social security etc. in the case of three industries. Concludes with recommendations relating to working conditions, labour relations and governance.
