Abstract
Argues that the country faces several challenges, low employment growth, slow pace of income poverty reduction, and higher inequality, which, at closer examination, are interconnected with issues of "decent work". Assesses these issues and identifies main challenges in six policy areas: interfaces between growth, poverty and decent work; competitiveness and decent work in global markets; employment opportunities and access; international labour migration; social protection; and social dialogue. Concludes with a set of proposed areas of action for a national decent work agenda.
