Abstract
The Lao Social Security Organization (LSSO) is seeking to optimize service delivery through digital channels. A significant initiative is the development of a mobile app and interoperability with other government databases to allow people to easily access social security. To achieve this objective, the report presents an analysis of national policies and legislation relevant to digital transformation; a situational analysis of the LSSO’s digital ecosystem and areas for improvement; a high-level plan for mobile app and associated API development; a road map of milestones, actionable recommendations and innovative solutions to overcome operational challenges; and recommendations to refer to and incorporate at this nascent stage of LSSO’s digital transformation journey.
