Abstract
This publication presents a strategic road map developed by the ILO Country Offi ce for Argentina within the framework of the project 'Moreand Better Jobs for Young Women and Men Through Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable Supply Chains in the Argentinean Automotive Industry', implemented with support from the Government of Japan. Over the course of several discussions, meetings and workshops with tripartite representatives of the automotive chain, five priorities were defined to ensure a just transition and the competitiveness and sustainability of the Argentine automotive sector. These are: strengthening tripartite governance (government, employers and workers); increasing productivity and job security through organizational innovations; reducing training gaps in the face of technological change; promoting responsible business conduct; and preparing for sustainable mobility. This road map aims to help steer concrete actions to address the challenges of electro-mobility and digitalization, ensuring decent and resilient jobs in a key sector for the national economy.
