Abstract
This study seeks to profile the informal economy within the Cambodian cashew nut industry. It aims to unveil the extent and composition of the informal economy while identifying key factors—labour-related, production-related, business-environment, administrative, and regulatory—that both constrain and support this sector. The study aims to shed light on ways to promote the industry’s growth, support is formalization, and address the challenges faced by workers in the cashew nut industry.
