Abstract
This report is a collection of Corridor Studies focused on examining the governance and dynamics of three specific labour migration pathways in the East and Horn of Africa (EHoA): Uganda to Saudi Arabia, Kenya to Somalia, and Ethiopia to South Sudan. Produced with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the report's purpose is to provide an in-depth, evidence-based analysis of the characteristics of these corridors, including the profile of migrant workers, their skills, the sectors they enter, and the recruitment processes, in order to identify critical protection gaps, governance failures, and best practices. Ultimately, it serves to inform the development of policies and bilateral agreements that promote safe, orderly, and rights-based migration for workers moving along these key routes, both within the region and internationally.
