Abstract
This report documents the good practices, lessons learned, and key results of the cooperative development interventions implemented under Phase I of PROSPECTS in Jordan between 2019 and 2024. It demonstrates how a comprehensive, multi-level approach, combining policy reform, institutional capacity development, and targeted support to cooperatives, strengthened the role of cooperatives in Jordan’s socio-economic development agenda. These interventions contributed to improved livelihoods, enhanced working conditions, and expanded economic opportunities for refugees and vulnerable members of host communities. The report further highlights how the programme promoted gender-responsive approaches, fostered social cohesion, and helped create an enabling environment for cooperatives to advance decent work, economic inclusion, and sustainable development.
