Abstract
The findings and recommendations identify opportunities to further strengthen efforts to combat forced labour and child labour in Malaysia, particularly in the E&E sector. It provides actionable recommendations for improving legal frameworks, enforcement mechanisms, and support systems for workers, fostering a fair and sustainable industry. Malaysia’s electrical and electronics (E&E) sector is a global leader, contributing significantly to the nation’s economic growth and development. At the same time, the sector is not immune to challenges in labour practices, particularly in addressing vulnerabilities that may affect workers. Thus, this study is intended as a resource for policymakers, businesses, and other stakeholders to inspire action and collaboration.
