Abstract
The AU–ILO Partnership 2021–2024 Report presents the results of the Joint Operational Plan implemented to advance decent work and social justice across Africa. It captures how the African Union and the International Labour Organization have deepened cooperation to support employment creation, skills development, social protection, sustainable enterprises and stronger labor institutions, in line with Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Agenda. The report highlights major milestones including the adoption of the Youth Employment Strategy for Africa, progress on formalizing the informal economy, strengthened labor migration governance, expanded social protection coverage and new initiatives on green jobs and the blue economy. It also outlines the next phase of collaboration to scale up impact and accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth across the continent.
