Abstract
These notes are designed to guide trainers and facilitators who are going to conduct courses for community-based enterprises responsible for the operation and maintenance of a small-scale piped water supply system in low-income settlements. These notes only cover the technical and managerial aspects of the training. The trainer's notes proved guidelines and hints on how to best facilitate course sessions as background information. This information is prepared for facilitators and trainers who do not have extensive knowledge of the water and sanitation sector. It is part of a set which also contains a manual; business plan; and technical handouts.
