Article on workers participation in occupational safety and occupational health matters in Japan - presents an evaluation of a mail survey, esp. The extent of trade union participation by size of enterprise and examples of safety committee action to prevent occupational disorders in a railway repair shop, a supermarket and an electrical industry enterprise, and urges for union participation in the health assessment of new work processes before they are implemented.
