Abstract

women workers workers with disabilities employment opportunity sex discrimination women welfare labour force participation education of women social research rehabilitation programme Vocational Rehabilitation Family Social Security
Shows that disabled working women have limited access to the labour market owing to the double disadvantage of being both disabled and women. Criticises inadequacies of present rehabilitation systems. Argues that further research, broader programmes of action, changes in vocational rehabilitation schemes and more active measures to combat discrimination are needed in order to improve employment opportunities of disabled women.
