Abstract
Article on the role of ILO in influencing labour standards in Belgium - comprises several case studies commenting on the influence on Belgian labour legislation of specific ILO Conventions, including conventions no. 1 (concerning hours of work), nos. 4 and 89 (night work for the woman worker), no. 81 (labour inspection), no. 87 (freedom of association), no. 97 (migrant workers), no. 98 (collective bargaining), no. 100 (equal pay), and others.
