Article analysing the effects of 'surprise' inflation on economic growth and employment in developing countries - concludes that if a country has had several years of reasonable price stability and it is currently suffering from a stagnant growth rate with some unemployment then a short and modest dose of purposeful inflation may have long term benefits.
