Abstract
The present article posits the notion of a reinvigorated multilateralism, one which is firmly grounded in the principles of social justice. This renewed multilateralism, the article contends, is indispensable to address the pressing global challenges of the present age, including but not limited to inequality, climate change, and democratic erosion. The Second World Summit for Social Development is presented as a critical opportunity to advance a New Social Contract centred on decent work and climate-friendly jobs trough just transition, trade union rights, living wages, universal social protection, equality, and inclusion.
