Abstract
Article commenting on changes in labour legislation to facilitate collective bargaining and increase workers' participation in France, 1981 to 1983. Notes a substantial increase in enterprise level and industry level collective agreements, examines trade union attitudes towards local level exercise of workers' rights which tend to bypass trade union structures.
