Abstract
Article on a basic needs approach to economic and social development in Nigeria - examines existing social policies with regard to basic needs, and proposes the use of a strategy that would include foreign exchange controls, increased public expenditure in rural areas, income redistribution measures, incomes policy and price policy, and integrated rural development.
