Abstract
Article examining the role of rapid economic development in reducing poverty (low income) and economic disparity in Africa South of Sahara - estimates increasing poverty and income distribution inequality trends, considers causal factors such as declining rate of agricultural development and uneven social development (distribution of social services), and indicates possible effects on further social stratification and social class conflict.
