Abstract
Article examining the role of fair labour standards in trade liberalization - discusses the role of ILO, ILO conventions and GATT in introducing and supervising labour standards (esp. Concerning minimum wage, competition, hours of work, etc.) In light of protectionism and trade barrier practices, and notes the need for industrial restructuring influenced by GATT and UNCTAD to promote trade liberalization without causing social problems.
