Abstract
Article, summary of findings of a UN Expert Group relating to the rechannelling of public expenditure from armed forces to economic and social development goals - assesses the technical feasibility and economic implications of conversion of economic resources and human resources to socially productive purposes (incl. Welfare and basic needs satisfaction, research and development, etc.) and stresses the need for disarmament.
