Article examining the impact of agricultural mechanization on agricultural employment from 1949 to 1969 in Mexico - discusses the impact of green revolution, crop diversification, extension of arable land, etc., on agricultural worker labour demand, and outlines the costs and benefits of tractorisation (incl. Increased agricultural production) with agricultural policy implications and guidelines.
