Article on theoretical aspects of affirmative action programmes for female job seekers and woman workers - recalls the role of ILO in promoting relevant labour legislation; comments on a judicial decision of the EC Court of Justice; discusses programmes in several EC countries; considers their political aspect, psychological aspect, sociological aspect and legal aspect.
