Abstract
Article analysing the problems involved and the necessity for constructive collaboration between the Council of Europe and the role of ILO as regards the revision of regional level social security standards and the supervision of their application in Western Europe - discusses harmonization of the European code of social security and its supplementary protocol with relevant ILO conventions.
