Abstract
Article discussing the identification of job characteristics contributing to unpleasant working conditions and tedious work environment in developed countries - considers the effects of boredom, mental stress, restricted job content and the poor arrangement of working time on job satisfaction, absenteeism, labour turnover, occupational accidents, labour dispute rates, particularly in manufacturing industry, and includes labour supply forecasts for low- level occupations and unskilled workers.
