Abstract
Article on minimum wages in developing countries - finds that labour inspection with regard to enforcement of minimum wage rates has been ineffective, while the rates have lagged behing general consumer prices, and concludes that the argument that minimum wage legislation causes unemployment in these countries is unsubstantiated.
