Abstract
Article on labour relations in public enterprises in Canada - examines practices in the public sector noting the greater restrictions imposed (compulsory arbitration, restraints to the right to strike) in comparison to the private sector, the increasing trade unionization, and interprovincial (local level) variation in labour legislation; discusses state intervention in public enterprise labour relations, concluding that although the private sector model is largely followed, restraints to wages bargaining are applied.
