Abstract
Article outlining provisions of the third (1979) international agreement for social security protection of the rhine inland waterway boatmen in Western Europe - describes the role of ILO in providing technical cooperation in the revision of the 1950 and the 1961 earlier agreements, and analyses coverage, equality of treatment, maintenance of rights in course of acquisition and of maintenance of acquired rights, benefits, etc.
