Article on the impact of computers on employment in developing countries - reviews evidence from various national level surveys suggesting that much depends on the uses to which the computer is put and the care with which the decision to install it is made, and concludes that utility may be maximized, without detriment to employment opportunity, by greater selectivity in the choice of application.
