Abstract
Article examining the impact of technological change on income generating activities for rural women in developing countries - discusses the impact of social status, production factor price distortions, sexual division of labour and inequalities in access to agricultural training and agricultural machinery, on agricultural employment and nonfarm employment; outlines the obstacles to wider dissemination of agricultural technology and implications for appropriate choice of technology and resource allocation.
